For a limited time, Science News in USA are offering Internship for international students planning careers in science writing for fall and spring. Preference is given to students completing an advanced degree in journalism with an emphasis in science writing.

Internship for International Students Description

Science News, the award-winning magazine covering all fields of science for a general readership, is now accepting applications for its science writing internships. Interns work as full-time science writers under the guidance of Science News editors and writers. Based in Washington, D.C., Science News reports scientific findings and trends occurring worldwide. Interns generate many of their own story ideas, reporting and writing several articles per week, including news stories and longer features.

Eligibility: This is Internship for international students planning careers in science writing and is offered three times a year for at least a three-month stay. Preference is given to students completing an advanced degree in journalism with an emphasis in science writing. Skilled writers working toward an advanced degree in one of the sciences and experienced journalists in transition to a science specialty are also considered.

Internship Open for International Students: US applicants are eligible to apply for this internship program

Is this paid internship? Yes, Interns receive $600 per week.

Number of awards offered: One applicant will be selected for each period.

Duration: The internship is offered three times a year for at least a three-month stay within the following periods: spring (January to April) and fall (October to December).
